Ch..Ch…Ch… Changes!

We gotta tell you something…. it might be hard to hear, so I’m just gonna tell it to you straight.

Starting next week we are rolling out new bags. They are going to look a lot like our old bags except for a few things. First, we will no longer offer the “small”  7 oz bags. Secondly, large bags will now be 12 oz. We will still have the mini sample sizes and you will still be able to bundle them. These new bags will still be filled with the same delicious coffee. Any orders placed on or after Sunday, April 18, 2021, will be subject to the new bag sizes.

Sometimes there are growing pains. Sometimes it hurts. As REM said, “Everybody hurts… sometimes.” It’s ok to be sad to lose the old bags. We feel that sadness.

See here’s the deal, when we were young and just starting this business-we were bright-eyed and optimistic and quite frankly, naive. We offered 14 oz bags (larger than sizes typically found in grocery stores). On top of that, we rounded up to 400 g. We put four whole extra grams in there. But then… coffee bean prices have been creeping steadily up and shipping has gotten more complicated. As it turns out, our margins were a little tight. So in order to continue to grow and to provide you delicious coffee, we had to do a little reconfiguring. To give us a little more breathing room. Blah. blah. blah. Margins. Blah blah economically viable… blah blah blah sustainability.

But did you hear the words “grow”?! We are growing. We are expanding and trying to streamline our operation to provide better service and grow even more. And that is largely thanks to you. Our loyal customers, who tell others about us. We are grateful to you.
